Welcome
To the National Alliance of Mental Health Providers (NAMHP)
The systems shaping mental health care are increasingly controlled by insurance conglomerates, venture capital-backed platforms, and corporate interests—all placing profits over patients.

NAMHP emerged from the collective frustration and determination of mental health professionals across the country. What began as a grassroots call for change in a Facebook group has evolved into a powerful, nationwide movement fueled by more than 8,000 providers across all 50 states who refuse to remain silent.

In 2024, we formally established NAMHP as a 501(c)(6) nonprofit to lead systemic reform in mental health care—by and for providers.

We are the only national organization focused specifically on:
-
Challenging the unchecked power of insurance companies
-
Exposing the dangers of venture capital-backed care models
-
Resisting the vertical integration of insurers controlling both care and reimbursement
These trends threaten our clinical autonomy, limit access to care, and erode the integrity of our profession. Providers are being forced into high-volume, low-quality care models that prioritize profits over healing, while administrative burdens grow and reimbursement rates remain stagnant.

NAMHP is organizing to confront these challenges head-on—through policy advocacy, lobbying, education, and coalition-building. Our work empowers providers to advocate for themselves, push for legislative reform, and reclaim our role in shaping the future of mental health care.

We are not waiting for change—we are building it.
